作者简介

诺贝特·埃利亚斯(Norhen Elias)犹太裔社会学家，1897年出生于德国布里斯劳(即现在波兰的弗劳茨瓦夫)，1990年在荷兰阿姆斯特丹去世。他是贯穿古典社会学与当代社会学的关键人物，一生致力于“人的科学”的研究，式图整俞社会学、心理学、历史学等学科，并以“形态社会学”来整合微观什会学与宏观社会学，“心理发生”层次与“社会发生层次”的问题。这位百科全书型的大师，一生著作颇丰，除本书外，主要著作还有《文明的进程》(上下册)、《宫廷社会》、《个体的社会》、《圈内人与圈外人》、《德国人研究》、《什么是社会学?》与《知训社会学论文集》(上下册)等，此外还留有众多手稿。2005年，19册的全集由Suhrkamp出版社出版。
