作者简介罗布·邓恩（Rob Dunn），北卡罗来纳州立大学应用生态学系教授、哥本哈根大学丹麦自然历史博物馆教授，科普作家中的新秀。著有《生命探究的伟大史诗》《我们的身体，想念野蛮的自然》《勇敢的心：心脏科学与外科手术的传奇故事》等。曾为《国家地理》《科学美国人》《BBC野生动物》《自然史》等杂志撰文一百余篇。在康涅狄格大学获得博士学位，曾获得富布赖特奖学金，现居美国北卡罗来纳州罗利市。
