作者简介艾伦•金斯堡（AllenGinsberg，1926-1997）
出生于美国新泽西州纽瓦克市，是娜奥米与抒情诗人路易斯•金斯堡的儿子。二十世纪四十年代就读哥伦比亚大学开始，他与尼尔•卡萨蒂、杰克•凯鲁亚克、威廉•巴勒斯等人建立了深厚友谊，一同成为五十年代美国“垮掉派”运动的领军人物。他做过工人、水手与市场研究员，1956年发表第一部诗集《嚎叫及其他诗歌》，成为二十世纪流传最广的一部诗集，被翻译成二十余种语言，开美国新一代诗人之风。
1965年，金斯堡在布拉格市荣获“五月之王”称号。1974年，诗集《美国的陨落》获美国国家图书奖。1984年11月，金斯堡随美国作家代表团访华，在北京、上海讲学，游览南京、苏州、昆明、保定、三峡等地，并写下多首关于中国的诗篇。此后他讲学的足迹遍及北半球，1986年荣获斯特鲁加诗歌节“金花环”奖。
