作者简介大卫·达姆罗什(David Damrosch),哈佛大学厄内斯特·伯恩鲍姆比较文学讲席教授,比较文学系主任。曾任美国比较文学学会会长、哥伦比亚大学比较文学系主任。他著述颇丰,出版的学术专著有《埋藏之书:吉尔伽美什史诗的消失与重现》《什么是世界文学?》《如何阅读世界文学》《比较文学:全球时代的文学研究》《八十本书环游地球》等;主编的世界文学教材和原典选读有《朗文世界文学选集》(六卷)《朗文英国文学选集》《普林斯顿比较文学文库》《劳特里奇比较文学论文集》等。同时担任多家比较文学与世界文学杂志主编或编委。他曾在五十个国家做过文学演讲,作品被翻译成多种语言,是一位在国际上颇具影响力的学者。
