作者简介弗拉基米尔•纳博科夫（1899-1977）
俄裔美国作家，20世纪杰出的文体家、批评家、翻译家、诗人。他出生于俄罗斯圣彼得堡，曾在剑桥大学三一学院攻读法国和俄罗斯文学，其后居住在柏林和巴黎，开始了文学创作。
1940年，纳博科夫移居美国，在韦尔斯利、康奈尔等多所大学执教。他在1955年所写的《洛丽塔》为他赢得世界声誉。此书的成功让他得以辞去教职，专事写作。其后出版的英文小说《普宁》《微暗的火》《爱达或爱欲》均展现了纳博科夫对于咬文嚼字以及细节描写的钟爱。1973年，纳博科夫获得美国国家图书奖。他的声誉在晚年达到顶峰，被誉为“当代小说之王”。
