作者简介玛西娅·布朗绘本大师，曾九度荣获凯迪克奖，并于1992年获颁罗兰·英格斯·怀尔德终生成就奖章。玛西娅1918年生于美国纽约州的一个牧师家庭，从小就非常喜欢阅读、绘画和手工，并梦想成为一名艺术家。后来毕业于美国纽约州立教师学院（纽约州阿尔巴尼大学前身），在担任纽约公共图书馆儿童馆工作期间，接触到了世界各国的珍贵儿童图书和插画，为日后的绘本创作打下了良好的基础。玛西娅发现民间故事对于孩子具有独特的吸引力，她创作的绘本灵感也往往来源于此，为呼应每一本书不同的主题与时代背景，她会尝试不同的媒材与风格，水粉、蜡笔、水彩、木版画……玛西娅凭借高超的表现技巧将各种媒材运用得出神入化，每一部作品都被赋予了独特的艺术生命，也为她赢得了极高的声誉。代表作品有荣获凯迪克金奖的《影子》《从前有一只老鼠……》和《灰姑娘》，荣获凯迪克银奖的《石头汤》等，以及改编自挪威民间故事的...
