作者简介玛格丽特•米勒 (Margaret Millar，1915—1994)
出生于加拿大安大略省，婚后移居美国，成为美国公民。高中时期开始写作，一九四一年出版第一部长篇小说，后因罹患眼疾而采用口述录音的方法创作。凭借《眼中的猎物》、《怪物的疆域》、《邪魔》三获爱伦•坡奖。曾任美国推理作家协会主席，一九八三年被该协会授予大师奖。一九八七年，《眼中的猎物》入选美国推理作家协会评选的“一百部最佳侦探小说”。
