胡安•加夫列尔•巴斯克斯，哥伦比亚作家，1973年生。著有三部长篇小说以及短篇小说集《每个圣徒的情人》。在德国、法国、西班牙和哥伦比亚出版的文集中，都有他的短篇小说被收录其中。1996至1998年，作家旅居巴黎，期间在索邦大学学习拉丁美洲文学。1999年末，结束了在比利时阿登地区一座小镇上一年的生活后，作家前往巴塞罗那定居，并开始为数种西班牙及拉美出版物担任翻译和撰稿人。2009年，他的第一部长篇小说《告密者》出版后获得广泛好评，并入围当年的英国独立报外国文学奖短名单。2011年，巴斯克斯凭借新作《坠物之声》获西班牙丰泉小说奖，被誉为拉美新生代作家中最闪亮的一位。
